Daughter of well-known artist and co founder of the prestigious Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design; the late Professor Gregory Whitecliffe, Amber Whitecliffe has been brought into this world surrounded by art.  So it is no surprise that she has found a passion and career path in this area.

Amber completed her degree at  Whitecliffe College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in Fashion design in November 2009.

Amber has gained significant experience and skills within the industry; working for Remix Magazine, well-known New Zealand designer Trelise Cooper, Internationally recognized label Pumpkin Patch ltd. and emerging local designers Lucie Boshier and Tara Cunniffe.  In addition to this, Amber has worked at New Zealand Fashion Week for the past five years helping backstage with the shows and assisting international buyers.

Personal work includes a fashion blog she runs with good friend Hilary Johnston -www.amberandhilary.com and freelance dress making (mainly couture dresses for weddings, 21sts and other special occasions).

On the side Amber has a passion for craft.  Her handmade gift card business “Madam Mouse” founded in 2000 display this.  Now exclusively selling in Trelise Cooper stores.

Amber is open minded to where the future takes her so long as it involves keeping her hands dipped into the creative industry!
